Open door day in the Brno Diamond Way Buddhist Centre on the occasion of Buddhist VESAK (May 27).

During the Open Door Day, you may visit the meditation room, see traditional paintings, statues, an informational exhibition and Buddhist books.

Vesak is the most important Buddhist holiday which is celebrated in all Buddhist countries around the world. It is traditionally connected with three events in Buddha’s life. Buddha Shakyamuni was born on the day of full moon in May, on the same day 35 years later he achieved the full development of mind’s potential – enlightenment – and on a full moon in May Buddha died at the age of 80.
