Diamond Way Buddhism

Diamond Way Buddhism

The Diamond Way Buddhism is one of the 3 main directions Buddha Shakyamuni taught. It flourished for 1500 years in India and 1000 years in Tibet, where 4 main schools originated. One of them was the Karma Kagyu School, headed by the Karmapa, at present the17th Karmapa Trinle Thaye Dorje. In recent decades, those teachings have spread in Europe as well.

The Diamond Way Buddhism of the Karma Kagyu Lineage has well over 550 meditation centres worldwide. It is a respected religion in many countries. In the Czech Republic, it is the first Buddhist lineage registered officially with the Ministry of Culture of the CR (under Act No. 3/2002Coll.) as a religious society.

Our centres practise lay Buddhism, which is not meant for monks and nuns. People come to the centres in their free time to meditate, to learn something about Buddhism and to develop their own mind’s potential.
